Patents use an enormous number (e.g., over 8 million) of different technology expressions that are not listed in any dictionary of technical terms (e.g., 100,000 words). As a result, there are often no official nation-specific stand-ins for English keywords. For the convenience of users, translated keywords are provided.
Quality of translated keywords
In order to improve the quality of translated keywords, PatentPia is making efforts to systematically maintain the expression of translated keywords. As a result, the quality of the English-Korean keyword translations (about 600,000 words have been maintained) is quite high. However, due to the huge number of long tails in patent keywords, continuous maintenance efforts are required.
