Time series analysis

Items handled by PatentPia GoldenCompass include i) entity items such as company/researcher/law firm, etc.; ii) field items such as keyword/technology field/product/component field/material/substance field/patent classification (CPC/IPC, etc.)/concept field, etc.; iii) event items such as litigation/judgment/transaction/standards/FDA approval/M&A/investment/national R&D, etc.; and iv) patent items.

Temporal changes in own items(input or selected item/target) (1-line time series)

GoldenCompass provides analysis/visualization contents on the temporal changes of i) a single item(company(e.g., Apple), technology, researchers, keywords(e.g., augmented reality), etc.) or ii) a composite item as a combination of two or more single items (e.g., augmented reality (keyword) of Apple (company)).
Time series analysis is provided i) yearly, ii) quarterly. The time series analysis contents include i) the value for the analysis period that is displayed, ii) the value based on the entire period (total), iii) the value for the analysis period that is not displayed (total_before), iv) the annual increase rate in 5-year/10-year increments (CAGR 5Y/10Y), and v) the increase rate based on the last 2 years/quarter (L2Y/L2Q). Due to display space limitations, iv) and v) appear when you click the "More" button at the right end of the analysis table. Some values may not be displayed on mobile pages, reports, etc. due to space constraints.
There are about 100 types of trend (time series) analyses provided by GoldenCompass, and the number of analyse are steadily expanding by segmented purpose/topic.

Time series comparison between related items (n-line time series)

Related items can vary depending on the own item. For example, if the main item is "augmented reality", the related items could be: i) companies in possession of patents related to "augmented reality", ii) keywords in the patents, iii) researchers who invented the patents, iv) events in which the patents were used, and v) subsequent patents citing the patents. Trend (time series) analysis of these various related items is provided.

Evaluation indices

Indices of own items (n-column indicators)

GoldenCompass provides analysis/visualization content on thematic evaluation indicators (attribute values) for i) single items such as companies, technologies, researchers, etc. or ii) composite items that combine two or more single items.
The evaluation indicators for each item include i) Important Indicators, which collect only the important ones, ii) Topic Indicators, which collect indicators for various topics, and iii) Predictive Evaluation Indicators, which are used for AI models that predict future promise/growth/risk.
GoldenCompass is expanding the types of evaluation indicator (attribute) values it provides and is continuously developing advanced content/data related to indicators.

Index comparison between related items (n-line indicator)

GoldenCompass provides contents for comparison of attributes between various related items of its own items. The comparison of attributes between related items is provided on the basis of a large menu (1:1 correspondence to the type of related items). Related items of the same type can also be segmented by purpose/topic.
Index comparison works well for a variety of comparison-oriented visualizations.

List

List of own items

GoldenCompass provides list content for i) single items such as companies, technologies, researchers, etc. or ii) compound items that combine two or more single items. Examples of list content include item related with i) events, ii) patents, etc.

List of related items

Representative of related items are subsequent patents (inter-networks) that heavily cite patents from their own items.
