Limitations of finding technology/R&D talent through patent analysis

There are some obvious limitations to finding R&D/technology talent through patent analysis.
First, there may be a large number of engineers who have not filed patents among the technology personnel. Especially in cases related to process optimization, a lot of technology knowledge is often protected as know-how rather than applied as a patent.
Second, patents are a dissipation of R&D and are expensive to obtain. Therefore, not all technologies can be applied for as patents. However, it is common for patents to be applied for important R&D achievements of a company or organization, or for technologies that require patent rights rather than know-how.
Third, patents are generally open to the public one year and six months after the application is filed, and are kept secret by law until then. Therefore, inventor information using patent data is up to one year and six months old as of today. Of course, the inventor's first name and organization (applicant/original assignee, etc.) are available in patent data, so using this data and LinkedIn's Experience information, you can identify a specific person.
Fourth, there's the issue of common names. However, since it is rare for people to have the same name within a particular organization, PatentPia identifies inventors by their ‘first name & organization’ rather than just their first name.
